Choices and Support

A Member Organization Dedicated to Health and Wellness

Eight Weeks to Wellness Classes Will Return in September 2010

Choices and Support is a member organization dedicated to health and wellness. Our members truly buy into their wellness with the food they eat, products they buy, services they use and provide, and the activities they enjoy. Our members are building a community of helpful health seekers who understand the benefit of cleaning up their lifestyles while extending their clean-up efforts to their communities and beyond. We think and act locally and globally. Learn more.

Choices and Support is proud to announce they are offering a free educational series called Eight Weeks to a Wellness Lifestyle. This eight week course is held at the People House in NW Denver and is open to anyone who desires to live a healthier lifestyle. This series is offered as a Heart of Service; and a small donation to People House is appreciated.

Eight Weeks to Wellness was inspired by Dr. Andrew Weil's best selling book, 8 Weeks to Optimum Health, and is a simple and systematic approach to holistic health and wellness practices. Classes will be held every Monday night and attendees can begin with week one at anytime.

Choices and Support's weekly one-hour meeting begins at 7:15pm, directly after the Eight Weeks to a Wellness Lifestyle class.

Spring Clean-up in Sunnyside Neighborhood

Sunnyside is an historic Denver neighborhood that lies within the boundaries of Federal Blvd. to the west, I-25 to the east, I-70 to the north, and 38th Avenue to the south. This beautiful old neighborhood is supported by Sunnyside United Neighbors, Inc., SUNI, a non-profit volunteer organization made up of residents, businesses, schools and churches that are located within the neighborhood boundaries.

Choices and Support hopes to work with SUNI to organize an annual neighborhood clean-up to be held on a Saturday in early April. Watch for upcoming details.

Denver Digs Trees

The Park People, a Denver non-profit organization, works to preserve, enhance, and advocate for Denver’s parks, recreation resources, open space and urban forest. They pursue this mission by raising private funds for capital projects and through their flagship program, Denver Digs Trees. You can help your neighborhood improve its appearance and air quality by planting trees in your yard and along the street. Please consider planting a tree or two this year. Please contact us at Choices and Support if you require assistance with the planting.
